How long do portrait orders take?

The turnaround time for orders varies based on the time of the year and the complexity of an order. Some orders may take as long as 6 weeks. The average time is 3 to 4 weeks. The retouching of an image is an artform. We have standards that are very high. The retouching may need to be sent back to the retouchers multiple times before it is approved.

Do you have caps and gowns for graduation style portraits?

Yes. We have many different colors of caps and gowns. We offer the rental of these for cap and gown portraits. Please call to confirm we have your school colors.

How do we view the portrait images from our family portrait session?

For family portraits we suggest you view them here in our studio on a very large monitor we use in our viewing room. It allows you to see the faces from larger groups more easily. We can also put them online for you to view.

The portraits are usually ready to view the next business day.

What do I get for my high school senior session fee?

Your session fee pays for the photographers time to photograph you and the retouching of your portrait for the yearbook. There are no prints or digital images included in the high school portrait session fee.

When will my high school senior portraits be available to view?

Your portrait images will be available to view online in approximately 2 weeks. Our goal is to have them ready in less time.

When I have my high school senior portrait taken in the studio, can I include my family in the session?

Unfortunately no. The high school senior portrait session is not designed to include a family. The backgrounds are set up for a single person.

Do you provide makeup services?

Our standard prices do not normally provide makeup services. But if needed we can provide a makeup artist for an additional fee.

Do you have a place for us to change?

Yes. We do have dressing rooms for you to change clothes.

Do you supply clothes or props?

We do not have a wardrobe of clothes from which to choose. But for high school senior portraits we do offer the rental of tuxedo jackets, shirts and ties and a drape for $13 each. We do have some props.

Can I take my senior portrait outdoors?

For most schools the Yearbook Advisors require a certain background for the “Yearbook Pose”. But once that has been done we can photograph you on other backgrounds. Or we may even photograph you at another location such as a local park. This would require a separate appointment and fee.

Do I need to go to your studio for my high school senior portrait session?

Yes. We have everything here to produce the results your school requires.

Can we bring pets to be photographed with our family?

Yes. We do this often. But please remember that even though we love animals, they can make your session more difficult. Please be patient with them.

Do you take passport photographs?

Yes. But they are not instant photographs. We do them by appointment and the prints are ready in approximately 1 week.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer a plan where you can pay as your budget allows. When you have reached a point where you have paid 80% of your order we will submit the order for printing. The remaining balance is to be paid on delivery of the product.

How do payments work for your services and products?

Portrait session fees are paid prior to or on the session date. Orders for all print products require an 80% deposit before an order is submitted for printing. All digital image products are paid 100% prior to delivery to the client.

Do you have parking?

We do have our own parking behind the studio. If it’s full there’s also another lot nearby on Florencita that is free. Metered parking is also available directly in front of the studio.
